After trying to learn to code independently, Jaqueline decided she needed a more structured form of learning so she applied for CTD classes. When asked what attracted her to CTD, Jaqueline said, “As an immigrant who works full-time, Code The Dream’s mission of creating opportunities for immigrants and communities of color really resonated with me and felt like the right fit.”
During Jaqueline’s experience with CTD, she has enjoyed the support she’s received from CTD mentors and her classmates. “Code the Dream provides a very supportive learning environment and help will always be there if you ask for it.”
As Jaqueline continues her learning journey, she hopes to create an app that makes a difference. “I’ve noticed that since COVID, many people have moved far from family and friends. Coordinating events and get-togethers can be difficult considering different schedules and budgets. I’d like to eventually learn enough to create an app that helps organize ways for people to get together, finding the best time, the best price range, and the best place to suit everyone. I’ll get there eventually!”
