Getting Started in Vamos: First Steps
Once your organization is licensed to use Vamos, Code the Dream staff will set up your primary user accounts. Those individuals can then add additional users. You will receive an email from vamos@codethedream.org with instructions to create your account. Those emails often go to spam, so be sure to check all possible folders. Please note that the confirmation link is only valid for 24 hours.
To familiarize yourself with the many features Vamos has to offer, watch the demo videos linked above, and regularly consult the user guide, also linked above.
The first step after creating your account is to import your existing data to Vamos. Formatting your data for import can take some time. Please refer to the import guide for instructions.

Vamos Web App Basics (34 min)
This video gives a solid overview of many of the main features in the legacy Vamos Outreach website. In this training, you will learn how to: Navigate around the Vamos homepage; View your Sites in different ways; Understand the Site Detail Page; and Edit basic info about your Sites. You will also gain a very basic understanding of: Visits, Notes, Contacts, Groups, and How to Search. We do not go into Routes in this video, or show anything on the Mobile app.
How to Build Routes in Vamos (16 min)
In this training session, you will learn how to create Routes, including how to: Identify Sites for your next Outreach trip; Build a Route; View your Route on Google Maps; and Access your Route in Vamos Mobile.
Using Vamos in the
Field: An introduction to the mobile app for outreach staff and volunteers (15 min)
In this training, outreach staff and volunteers will learn how to: Set up and log into your Vamos account; Search for and find Sites (labor camps) on the Vamos mobile app; Navigate to those Sites from your phone, from both individual Sites and by using the Routes feature ; Log Visits, Notes, and Photos to a Site in the mobile app.
