Andrea Dreier has over a decade of experience working for social justice, advocacy, and global health nonprofits. After spending the last five years at the North Carolina Justice Center, she is excited to bring her passion for storytelling and narrative power to Code the Dream as its first communications director.
Andrea’s commitment to justice work is rooted in her upbringing in Northeast Ohio’s Rust Belt and her service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria. Her classical music training—Andrea holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in piano performance from Youngstown State University—taught her about the magic combination of disciplined preparation and creative risk.
At work, Andrea’s passions are writing, line editing, and message development. Outside work, she loves exploring all the food in the Los Angeles area (she’s currently hunting for the best scallion pancake in the San Gabriel Valley), throwing tennis balls for her dog, and traveling with her spouse.
