If you’re just getting started in tech, it can feel overwhelming. Our Classes Team at Code the Dream understands that the decisions you make about your education now will impact your career trajectory—and we are here to help!
Introducing New Career Pathways
Starting in 2026, CTD students will enjoy a newly upgraded and streamlined learning experience, designed to prepare them to meet the demands of a changing industry. All students beginning classes in the new year will choose one of two possible career tracks: Web Development with Fullstack Javascript or Data Engineering with Python.
Students choosing the Web Development track will prepare for roles such as JavaScript-based web development, testing, UX/UI development, and quality assurance. Those on the Data Engineering track will gain experience with AI/Machine Learning and prepare to launch careers in areas such as data analysis, data engineering, or data visualization.

Students can complete the entire curriculum for a selected track in one year and will finish with a portfolio of work to help them stand out in the job market.
“Our CTD students are looking for intensive, high-quality learning opportunities that prepare them to land high-paying tech jobs, and we want to give them the rigorous coursework and in-depth training needed to reach their career goals,” said Lori Fernald Khamala, Director of Programs.
Classes will operate on a quarterly schedule with rolling admissions. Once admitted students select their career pathway, each 11-week course they take will fit into that pathway. This process, put together by our team of professional developers and workforce experts, ensures that students emerge from their pathway with the best possible package of skills to be attractive to tech employers.
“CTD’s wonderful team of Cohort Instructional Leads will continue to oversee each course, supported by the dedicated volunteers who provide vital mentorship to students,” said Academic and Student Experience Director Mary Alice Moore. “The career pathways will enhance the student experience and further highlight what makes CTD special: high-level training in a supportive environment where students can show up authentically.”
